The reaction products and microstructure of an 8 M NaOH-activated fly ash (AAFA) cured with microwave thermal oven curing were comparatively investigated. results show that the formation Al-rich N-A-S-H gel a flaky morphology crystalline chabazite-Na between particles favoured under curing, whilst Si-rich fibrilllar hydroxysodalite on surface dominant curing. these unique is attributed not only to effect microwaves which can increase temperature AAFA volumetrically, but also non-thermal effects promote dissolution diffusion silica alumina during process. This explains why achieve high early strength within short period
